Company

Symplex Systems Inc.

Symplex Systems Inc. is a Michigan C-Corporation. Symplex builds engineering coordination infrastructure for complex engineering programs in aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, and advanced manufacturing.

Mission

Reduce organizational entropy so engineers can focus on engineering.

Why Symplex Exists

Engineering organizations lose disproportionate time and execution confidence to coordination overhead, not technical uncertainty. Decisions made in review meetings evaporate, ownership drifts, and the same risks get rediscovered meeting after meeting, not because teams aren't capable, but because nothing preserves the connection between a decision, who owns it, and what it affects downstream.

On complex programs, that knowledge often lives in a small number of people rather than in any system. When one of them is unavailable or moves on, the program loses institutional memory it cannot quickly rebuild. Symplex was built to close that gap, starting where coordination is generated and where it is currently lost: the engineering program review.

Founder

Symplex Systems was founded by Kevin Rhodes, who spent twenty years at the intersection of systems engineering and program leadership across Ford, AVL, Caterpillar, Lyten, Slate, and Zeta. His background spans automotive powertrain, battery systems, electric vehicle development, and industrial systems programs: the same environments where decisions, ownership, and execution context are routinely lost between reviews.
